Spam Assassin 3.0.0 - Update!

SpamAssassin  is an effective filtering tool that is available by default 
to all of our customers.

 - Log into My Account

 - Select Email Filtering to view SpamAssassin

Note: SpamAssassin resides on Infinity Internet's mail server, so there is 
nothing to download.  SpamAssassin filters mail based on: Headers, text, 
Bayesian filtering (scoring content-based filtering method), DNS 
blocklists, and collaborative filtering databases.

SpamAssassin 3.0.0 uses filters that score the email being sent to you. 
This method of scoring is done based on the headers, sender and content of 
the sent email.  This new SpamAssassin ranks the email sent from a 
particular sender. It then labels the sender's email as spam or not 
depending on the score they achieve.  Over time, the filters 'learn' which 
senders have just sent spam based on an improved or decreased score.  The 
new filtering method rewards senders who consistently send spam free email. 
 Anyone repeatedly sending you email that appears to be spam will receive a 
higher score and a lower ranking.  This new tool will effectively monitor 
incoming mail and over time reduce your incidence of spam.

With SpamAssassin, a sender is identified by using both the address they 
sent with and their IP address.  Spam claiming to be from you with forged 
headers will not get through.

We have updated SpamAssassin

Now, you can add an email address to the whitelist.  This will give the 
email address a score of -100 which has the effect of always marking their 
mail as non-spam. The reverse is true for blacklisting.  You can now add 
offending email addresses to your blacklist to help reduce spam.

 - Log into My Account

 - Select Email Filtering to view SpamAssassin
 - Select 'Manage SpamAssassin Lists' to Whitelist/Blacklist an email 
address
 - Add the email address in question to either the Whitelist or Blacklist
 - Click 'Submit'

Would you like to  set the new My IINet start page <http://my.iinet.com> as 
your homepage?  It is a very quick process.

 - First, go to <http://support.iinet.com> support.iinet.com
 - Choose "Browsing the Web"
 - Then choose "Change my homepage"
 - To answer the question, you will need to choose your "Operating System" 
and "Web Browser:" so that the correct information is presented to you
 - Click "Submit"
 - Follow the steps in the second screen presented to you
 - The URL for the new homepage is http://my.iinet.com
 - When you re-open your browser, your homepage should now be 
http://my.iinet.com.
