I need to place my order next week, and so if you are interested, let  
me know.  Note that the Wine Spectator was quoting $60/bottle!

These wines are scheduled to arrive in March 2009 and I need to place  
my “futures” order as soon as possible.  This is a great vintage if  
the Normale is anything to go by.  The Wine Advocate’s ratings are as  
follows:

91 – PORA
92 – MOCCAGATTA, RIO SORDO
93 – MONTEFICO, MONTESTEFANO, OVELLO
94 – ASILI, PAJE
95 – RABAJA

I’m accepting futures orders on the following basis (order forms will  
be available in the shop next week – but you can email your requests  
and fill-in an order form later):
1. As with the 2001 wines, the local distributor allocates wines  
depending on a formula which is based on the number of wines I  
order.  I have to order some of all of them in order to get the  
highly allocated wines.  This I will do, but I will not get  
confirmation of actual allocation until mid-December.  Unfortunately  
2004 was a small harvest and Portland is getting only 55% of the wine  
it received for the 2001s.
2. The pricing is based on US$1.39 =  Euro1.00 and Lemma reserves the  
right to adjust prices to reflect the exchange rate when the wine  
arrives.  Today’s rate is about $1.25, and so unless the Euro  
strengthens, the prices will be lower in March.  But who knows, the  
dollar might drop enough for the wine to cost more.   Any reduction  
will result in refunds to customers, and any increase will result in  
extra cost for the customer.  Such adjustments will take place when  
the wine arrives.
3. Payment is in full with a valid credit card (or cash if you  
prefer!).  However no credit card will be charged, or checks cashed,  
until I know what my allocation will be.
4. Orders can be for single bottles.  Case orders, mixed or full,  
will receive a 10% discount off these futures prices.

PRICING

RIO SORDO or PORA $47.50/bottle
OVELLO or MONTEFICO $50.00/bottle
ASILI, MOCCAGATTA,MONTESTEFANO, PAJE or RABAJA $52.50/bottle

Magnums are available for MONTESTEFANO and OVELLO at twice the 750ml  
cost.
