As I have to tell the distributor by this Wednesday night how many  
bottles we will need for the tasting, please let me know ASAP if you  
are interested in attending.   To reserve and guarantee your seat,  
pre-payment or a valid credit card number is required.

To remind of what is planned, below are details of the tasting.

The northern reaches of Italy, other than Veneto and Piemonte, are  
mainly known for their white wines, but many interesting reds are  
made, often from varietals indigenous to the region.  We will “visit”  
ALTO ADIGE, TRENTINO, FRIULI and VENETO and sample a variety of white  
and red wines.

Don Oman, proprietor of importer/distributor Casa Bruno, is one of  
the west coast’s most knowledgeable people on Italian wines, and an  
evening with Don is an evening not to miss.  Don will transport your  
mind from a cold (and maybe wet) Oregon winter evening to the hills  
and valleys of northeast Italy.  He has a wonderful knack of being  
able to impart knowledge while keeping a tasting fun – just ask  
anyone who has attended any of our earlier tastings with Don.

This evening will be a sit-down tasting and reservations are  
required.  The tasting will comprise the following wines (not in this  
order):

 From TRENTINO
A red wine from the native grape TEROLDEGO from the greatest producer  
of this grape, FORADORI.

 From FRIULI
A TOCAI and a PASSITO dessert wine from di LENARDO
A white RIBOLLA and a red blend of  CABERNET SAUVIGNON, MERLOT and  
CABERNET FRANC from DORIGO

 From ALTO ADIGE
A GEWURZTRAMINER and a red SCHIAVA from CASTELL SALLEGG

 From VENETO
An AMARONE from CECILIA BERETTA

Note: the selection of wines might change.  But any replacement will  
be a similar wine of equal or greater value.

DURING THE EVENING YOU WILL BE ABLE TO PLACE PRE-PAID ORDERS FOR THE  
WINES TASTED AND RECEIVE THE FOLLOWING DISCOUNTS:

1 – 11 BOTTLES 15% DISCOUNT
12 OR MORE BOTTLES 18% DISCOUNT
