THE WINES OF MONTALCINO with DON OMAN of CASA BRUNO
Wednesday, January 24, 2007

7:00PM

$30.00

The SANGIOVESE GROSSO wines of TUSCANY’S MONTALCINO are some of
Italy’s finest reds. 2001 was a spectacular vintage in the area, and
it is time to look at some BRUNELLOS from that vintage before they
all disappear from the market.

Don Oman, proprietor of importer/distributor Casa Bruno, is one of
the west coast’s most knowledgeable people on Italian wines, and an
evening with Don is an evening not to miss. Don will transport your
mind from a cold (and maybe wet) Oregon winter evening to the green
and ochre and superb light of Tuscany’s vineyards, olive groves and
hillsides. He has a wonderful knack of being able to impart
knowledge while keeping a tasting fun – just ask anyone who has
attended any of our earlier tastings with Don.

This evening will be a sit-down tasting and reservations are
required. The tasting will comprise:

THREE ROSSO di MONTALCINO wines from three different produces (2003
and 2004 vintages)

THREE 2001 BRUNELLO di MONTALCINO wines from the same producers

ONE 1999 BRUNELLO di MONTALCINO RISERVA from one of the producers

You will be greeted with a Tuscan white, a VERNACCHIA, which will set
up your palate for the evening.

Don will bring some Tuscan cheese and meat to accompany the wines.

DURING THE EVENING YOU WILL BE ABLE TO PLACE PRE-PAID ORDERS FOR THE
WINES TASTED AND RECEIVE THE FOLLOWING DISCOUNTS:

1 – 11 BOTTLES 15% DISCOUNT
12 OR MORE BOTTLES 18% DISCOUNT

Seating is limited. To reserve and guarantee your seat, pre-payment
or a valid credit card number is required.
