EARL and COUNTESS LEVEL

BRÜDER DR. BECKER 2004 DIENHEIMER KABINETT RIESLING TROCKEN,
RHEINHESSEN, GERMANY

This estate has been biodynamically farmed since 1969, and the owners
were co-founders of the European certifying body for organic wine,
EcoVin. The wine offers beautiful pure fruit on the nose and palate,
and this is coupled with lovely balancing acidity. It follows the
current German trend towards “trocken” (dry) Rieslings. This wine is
very refreshing to sip on its own, but also is a great food wine.
Regular Price: $17.50

MAISON ROCHETTE & CHAPOUTIER 1999 CHÂTEAUNEUF-du-PAPE, RHÔNE VALLEY,
FRANCE

This wine is produced by the famous Châteauneuf-du-Pape (CDP)
producer CHAPOUTIER. While not exactly a “second label”, it is made
at Chapoutier’s winery from grapes from biodynamically-farmed
vineyards under their control. The wine is 100% GRENACHE and is a
bargain in mature CDP. Not a wine for someone looking for a “fruit
bomb”, the nose offers the leathery, earthy aromas of an older wine.
The palate offers copious ripe black raspberry fruit coupled with
earthy nuances, and the finish and balance are exceptional. If you
do not purchase all we have, the wine will disappear into Pauline &
Mick’s cellar!

Regular Price: $29.50

Total Member Monthly Cost: $39.95

BARON and BARONESS LEVEL

DOMAINE de PAJOT 2005 BLANC, GASCONY, FRANCE

Gascony is a French source of many great value white wines, and this
CÔTES de GASGOGNE bottling is as great a value as it gets. A blend
of GROS MANSENG, UGNI BLANC, SAUVIGNON BLANC and COLOMBARD, the wine
offers lovely fruit combined with refreshing acidity. Wonderful as
an aperitif or to accompany seafood or white meats, this wine has
become Pauline & Mick’s “house white”.

Regular Price: $7.50
Member Price: $6.38

FATTORIA di FALTOGNANO 2003 CHIANTI MONTALBANO RISERVA, TUSCANY, ITALY

The ancestors of ROBERTO COMPARINI, the current owner, have owned
this estate since about 1000 AD. Although olives and grapes have
been on the property for centuries, wine was not bottled commercially
until Roberto arrived on the scene. The estate is on the slopes of
Monte Albano, between Florence and Pisa. The vines and olive trees
have been grafted and replanted, generation after generation, using
the estate’s own stock. Hence they really represent the terroir of
Faltognano. This 2003 is a blend of 80% SANGIOVESE, 15% CANAIOLO and
5% MALVASIA NERA. These days it is a rarity for Chianti producers to
use the last grape. When this wine first arrived in Oregon, I was
not a fan, but it is amazing what 9 months in the bottle will do.
This is now a superb value Riserva Chianti.

Regular Price: $20.00
Member Price: $17.00

Total Member Monthly Cost: $23.38
