MASI WINE DINNER AT BASTA’S
This event is a cooperative venture of Masi Agricola of Italy’s
Veneto, Basta’s Trattoria, Lemma Wine Company and Cornell Wine
Company. Tony Apostolakos, Masi’s Regional Sales Director, and Brent
Young of importer Remy Amerique, will be present to talk about the
wines.

Basta’s. We will need a credit card number to guarantee your
reservation. Cards will not be charged until the day of the event.

The dinner will be four-courses with different wine with each
course. The menu will not be finalized for a week or so as our chef,
Marco Frattaroli, wants to wait to see what fresh game will be
available to go with the Amarone we intend to serve. The provisional
wine list follows.
Welcome wine:
2005 MASIANCO – this is a blend of PINOT GRIGIO and a local grape
VERDUZZO.
First Course:
2003 CAMPOFIORIN RIPASSO – MASI invented the RIPASSO style of
VALPOLICELLA.
Second Course:
2001 BROLO di CAMPOFIORIN – this is MASI’s Reserve Valpolicella-style
wine with grapes coming from the original walled vineyards in
Valgatara di Marano that is in the heart of the Valpolicella Classico
zone.
Third Course:
2001 COSTASERA AMARONE CLASSICO and 1995 AMARONE CLASSICO – this will
be a wonderful opportunity to compare a young Amarone with one over
10 years of age.
Fourth Course:
2000 RECIOTO CASAL dei RONCHI SEREGO ALIGHERI – this is the sweet
version of Amarone.
During the evening you will be able to order any MASI wines at 15%
discount on single bottles, 20% discount off mixed/full cases. This
offer is based on pre-payment by credit card or cash, and for pick-up
at Cornell Wine Company.
