CORNELL WINE COMPANY
DRY ROSÉ SALE!

Rosé wines will be our June “in-store specials”. However we have
decided to start the sale this Friday so you can buy some great Rosé
for your Memorial Day Picnic (some forecasters say there may be some
sun!).

The sale offers a 10% discount on all Rosé wines, and 15% on 6 or
more bottles. There is one exception, the Vega Sindoa wine that is
already a “special”. It already represents a 10% discount at $6.75,
and single bottles remain at this price. As part of a “six-pack” the
price will be $6.00/bottle (the current full-case price).

Just remember these wines are not “your mother;s white zinfandel”,
these are great DRY Rosés – sip them on their own, or accompany
salads, poultry, pork and seafood. Our current selection includes:
Winter’s Hill 2005 Pinot Noir Rosé, Oregon - $14.00

Viento 2005 Sangiovese Rosé, Washington fruit, but made in Oregon -
$13.00

Vega Sindoa 2005 Rosé, Navarra, Spain - $6.75

Château d’Oupia 2004 Minervois Rosé, France - $10.00

Rouvière 2005 Routas Provence Rosé, France - $10.75

Domaine Sorin 2004 Provence Rosé, France - $09.00

And three new arrivals this week:

Provenza 2005 Chiaretto (Garda, Italy) - $12.00

(this is a “Matt Kramer Rave” in previous vintages and is a blend of
Barbera, Sangiovese, Marzemino and Groppello)

Domaine Faillenc Sainte Marie 2005 Rosé des Glacieres, Languedoc,
France - $15.75

This is 100% Syrah, has ebullient fruitiness with refreshing
acidity. The color is fabulous!

Domaine du Gour de Chaulé 2005 Gigondas Rosé, Rhône Valley, France -
$25.00

I’ve always though Bandol Rosés are the world’s best (and most
expensive!), but they now have a challenger! This is expensive for a
Rosé, but it is the most full-bodied and complex Rosé I’ve tasted in
some time. A blend of Grenache, Mouvèdre and Cinsault, it offers
lots of strawberry fruit together with intriguing layers of spice.
It is rich, think and dense for a Rosé – would be wonderful with
grilled pork chops.

TREAT YOUR WHITE WINE DRINKERS TO A “NEARLY RED” WINE, AND CONVINCE
YOUR RED WINE DRINKERS THAT ROSÉ CAN BE A SERIOUS WINE!
