We bought a small amount of Fontodi's "Super Tuscan" on a "pre-sell"  
basis, and this has now arrived in the shop.  The wine is 100%  
Sangiovese and aged for 18 months in Allier and Troncais oak  
barriques.  I have not seen a review of this wine, but when I tasted  
it a few weeks ago I thought it was lovely.  Typical of a 2003, there  
is lots of ripe fruit, but this is well-integrated with the new oak.   
Approachable now, this wine is so well-balanced it should age well.
